Ms. Trincia's Classroom Rules and Procedures
Expectations:
1. Be respectful to others
2. Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself
3. No talking during teacher time
4. Treat others the way you want to be treated
5. Follow adult direction
6. Take responsibility for your actions
Rewards:
Students are expected to follow the rules in the classroom, lunchroom, hallways, and outside recess. To encourage students to follow our class rules, I will support behaviors with verbal praise, positive phone calls, and treats from the treasure chest.
Consequences:
1. Friendly warning - change behavior card from green to orange
2. 2nd Verbal Warning - change behavior card from orange to yellow and lose 5 minutes of recess and note home.
3. 3rd Verbal Warning - change behavior card from yellow to red and call home
4. Continues to Misbehave - send to office
Classroom Information
Allergies:
Please let me know as soon as possible if your child has any allergies or other medical condition that I should be aware of.
Daily Snack Policy:
Each day around 1:30, we eat a snack. This needs to be something HEALTHY! Absolutely no chocolate, cookies, or candy. Some suggestions include the following: string cheese, fruit snacks/roll-ups, cheese and crackers, cut up fruit or vegetables, animal crackers, gold fish, graham crackers, vanilla/butterscotch pudding, cheez-its, granola bars, and applesauce.
Birthdays:
Feel free to send in a birthday snack on or near your child’s birthday. Please contact me either by phone, e-mail, or a note in your child’s green round trip folder to set up a date. If your child has a summer birthday, check with me and we can set up a day in May or June to celebrate it.
Coats & Things:
Please write your child’s name on everything that you send to school.
Breakfast/Lunch:
• Breakfast is $1.90 and reduced breakfast is $0.30
• Lunch tickets may be purchased on-line @ www.weschools.org
• Reduced lunch is $0.40 and milk is $0.50

Wednesday: Library 10:30 - 11:00 & Computer Lab 12:05 -1:00
Thursday: Gym 1:35 - 2:05

Parent/Teacher Folder:
Everyday your child will bring home his/her Parent/Teacher folder. Your child may select the folder he/she will use for this. This folder is what your child will use to bring home any important notes and homework assignments. Please use this folder to send back homework and any notes for me or the office. Please help your child go through this folder every night and take out papers that need to stay at home. Please initial the Reading/Behavior Log sheet each night.
Homework:
Homework will average three assignments each night: Math, Phonics, Reading,or Spelling. Homework assignments will be monitored daily.
Reading Log
Students will read 15 minutes a night to a parent and record the book read and minutes on their reading log sheet.
Grading System:
Grades are given for Math, Reading, and Language Arts. Grades are based on a points system.
D and E Papers:
All D and E papers need to be corrected and returned. Papers will be sent home in their Parent/Teacher Folders.
Field Trips:
Field trips will be announced and chaperones will be assigned as needed.
